Case Manager assists in
patient treatment plans

A patient has coronary artery disease and there’s a question as to whether they should receive a stent or have bypass surgery. In such cases, consulting with a heart team is highly recommended, so the doctor typically spends time calling multiple cardiologists and surgeons to review the case. But this is a laborious, complicated process.
Using Medical Case Review Manager, the doctor treating the patient sets up a conference, invites the required experts, and attaches any relevant patient data to the case. Participating cardiologists and surgeons each give an opinion, and the team quickly reaches a consensus on the best way forward.

“The Case Manager has been instrumental in helping us bring the right specialists together – often on the fly – to help diagnose a patient, consider all the relevant factors, agree on the best course of action, and get the patient started on the road to recovery. And all without having to make multiple calls, wait for responses, or postpone critical decisions.”

RVU Manager assists doctors and administrators in handling RVUs

With no system in place to handle proxy RVUs, doctors in one facility were submitting them in a variety of ways–from small scraps of paper, to text messages and photos. Once submitted, many were using spreadsheets to manage and track them, while others didn’t feel the effort required was worth it.
Administrators collected and compiled submissions as best they could, and then struggled to code and bill against them correctly. The lack of a viable system led to low participation, late submissions and payment delays.
With RVU Manager, an automated process has been implemented that standardizes the submission process, automates RVU calculation, and provides easy tracking and reporting—all of which have resulted in significantly improved operational efficiencies, faster approval processing times, and far fewer errors.

“The RVU Manager has been a complete game changer for me as an administrator. We used to receive and calculate proxy RVUs manually, which took countless hours and a full-time employee to manage the process. Now, they’re submitted online, calculated automatically and approved in a matter of hours. It’s no longer a struggle to get providers to submit them, and every provider I’ve heard from has expressed how easy it is to use and how much they appreciate its ability to track their RVUs.”
